Head of School - Mrs. Barbara Rogers

Mrs. Barbara Rogers founded the Mendham Country Day School along with her husband in 1986. After graduating from Syracuse University, Mrs. Rogers’s love for children grew during her time as a pediatric emergency room nurse. After having her first child, she turned her focus towards the education of children. She went back to Syracuse and earned a Master’s Degree in Education, which assisted her greatly while serving on the Mendham Township Board of Education. After several terms on the board she became the President of the Board of Education implementing and regulating the education for an entire school district. With four children of her own, she quickly learned firsthand that not all children learn in the same way, but with a strong foundation, all types of learners can succeed. This clearly was the drive behind the founding of Mendham Country Day School, a school where all types of learners are given a solid foundation and develop a true love for learning.
