PreK-4

The PreK-4 program is similar to the Early Kindergarten curriculum and also uses Kindergarten-level texts and materials. Language Arts constitutes a larger portion of this program. Teachers build on each child’s innate pleasure in words, establishing a positive foundation for speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students continue to develop their understanding of math, science, social studies, Spanish, and technology.

PreK-4 verses Early Kindergarten

Both of these classes will prepare your child for kindergarten. Most students will be able to read simple stories by the end of the school year. Both programs are above a public kindergarten level and use kindergarten textbooks. Early Kindergarten was designed for the child that wanted or needed more and has the maturity and attention span to gain from a fast pace academic program.
